Giddy about GyroQ
Want to know the quickest and easiest way to think about nothing?
I mean, you could always just drop out of life and give yourself up to ebb and flow of the universe…actually that sounds kind of nice…but if you’re like me and can’t go a day without a new idea, a new thing you want to make or work on, then giving up just isn’t an option.
I’ve found a great program to give you that same feeling without the consequences…
The whole idea of GTD is to get things off of your mind. For the longest time (I’ve been trying this for over a year now), I never really trusted my system. The MindManager/ResultsManager combo was just too slow on my TabletPC, Outlook never really helped things out, and I’m still waiting for my iScrybe invite…
But then GyroQ came along and everything just clicked.
Here was a way to quickly get what was on my mind off. If I’m watching my scene and I come up with some bit of acting that I want to change, I just hit Ctrl-Q on my Tablet, type in the Next Action, hit enter, and forget about it.
Ahhh, doesn’t that feel nice?
Just forget about your ideas. It’s no problem really, because they’ll come back to you when you sit down to process them later.
I have finished so many things in the past month, all because of this simple little program, this little add-on.
Because MindManager is so slow on my Tablet (which I’ve recently found out could be a result of the Tablet itself), I never used it before. I kept having to close it, and restart it, then close it again. All of this just to write down a quick idea I had. With GyroQ, the window pops up quickly, I’m in and out in less than 10 seconds.
Idea saved.
Now you’re free to have more.
If you’re a MindManager and ResultsManager user, but still haven’t made the switch to GyroQ I highly suggest it. The $50 dollar price tag may seem steep at first, but I tell you, after using it, it’s more than worth it.
